Awana (ApprovedWorkman Are Not Ashamed) is an international kids club which focuses on the memorization and application of scripture. Kids earn patches, jewels, badges, stickers, and other awards to put on their uniforms.
Awana at CCSG
We meet each Wednesday at 6:45. All clubs begin together with Pledges to the Flags, prayer, worship, and other fun activities. Each club then rotates through three events.
"Large Group Time" consists of Bible story teaching time. "Small Group Handbook Time" is where the children quote their scriptures to their group leaders. "Game Time" is a favorite with the kids, where they get to be active and play cooperative games.
Saving Grace has three Awana clubs. The Cubbies make up the youngest group, with 3 year olds through Pre-K. They learn with such characters as "Luv-E-Lamb," "Ern-E-Elephant," and of course "Cubbie Bear."
Our next club consists of the Kindergartners through 2nd graders. The Sparks club is full of energy and excitement as they quote scriptures to gain rewards.
The oldest group attends T-&-T (Truth-&-Training). Our 3rd-6th graders earn badges as they learn and apply God's Word.
How to Get Involved
Any child can visit Awana any time. If your child wants to join, please let the leader know, and you will be directed to the correct person who can do enrollment.
